Big Log

Big Log is a single from Robert Plant's second solo album, The Principle of Moments, which was released in July of 1983. Filming locations for the music video include Death Valley Junction and Yermo, Ca. and Crystal and Las Vegas, Nv. It was directed by Storm Thorgerson.

(Amargosa Opera House)

The building was constructed in 1925. It consists of twenty-three hotel rooms, a cafe and a recreation hall, located at the northeast end of the complex. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on December 10th, 1980. The structure can also be seen in Delusion (1991), The Hitcher (1986) and Lost Highway (1997).

Schoolhouse - 36600 Ghost Town Rd. Yermo, Ca. 92398

(Calico Ghost Town)

The schoolhouse is a replica, constructed on the site of the original one, which was built in 1885. The current schoolhouse was built in the early 1950's. In November of 1962, Calico Ghost Town was registered as California Historical Landmark #782.
