The Boy Who Could Fly was released into theaters on August 15th, 1986. Filming locations include Coquitlam, New Westminster and Vancouver, BC. It was directed by Nick Castle. Castle also played the majority of the scenes as Michael Myers in Halloween (1978). During the scene where Geneva and Milly are watching television, the band The Coupe de Villes can be seen in a music video. The band consisted of director Nick Castle, John Carpenter and Tommy Lee Wallace. This was the feature film debut of Fred Savage, who played Louis Michaelson. The score was composed by Bruce Broughton. The films first DVD release was on July 8th, 2003.

The 130 acre park is located on top of Little Mountain. Milly walks out of Bloedel Floral Conservatory and makes her way to the Waterfall Bridge.

Mental hospital - Lawn Dr. Coquitlam, BC. Canada
(Riverview Hospital, West Lawn Building)
The hospital opened on April 1st, 1913. In 2005, the East Lawn Building was closed. In July of 2012, the entire hospital closed. Other notable movies filmed here include Along Came a Spider, Black Christmas (2006), The Butterfly Effect, Final Destination 2, Halloween Resurrection and Happy Gilmore.
That looks great with the bridge against against the sky before the trees grew taller.
