Electra Glide in Blue was released into theaters on August 19th, 1973. Filming locations include Fort McDowell and Fountain Hills, Az. and Oljato-Monument Valley, Ut. It was directed by James William Guercio, in what was his lone directed film. He also composed the films score. The lead of John Wintergreen was played by Robert Blake. Other notable films starring Blake include In Cold Blood and Lost Highway. In 2001, Blake was arrested for his wife, Bonnie Bakley's murder. He was later acquitted, but never returned to acting. His last role being in 1997's Lost Highway. The films first DVD release was on March 22nd, 2005.
