Vampires was released into theaters on October 30th, 1998. Filming locations include Las Vegas, Ohkay Owingeh and Stanley, NM. It was directed by John Carpenter. It was the sixth and final movie of the 90's directed by Carpenter. The lead of Jack Crow was played by James Woods. Other notable films starring Woods include Casino, Cat's Eye, Contact, The Getaway and Videodrome. The score was composed by John Carpenter. The films first DVD release was on February 9th, 1999.

The cars owner was played by Frank Darabont, director of The Green Mile, The Mist and The Shawshank Redemption. The structure has been there since at least 1981. At the time of my visit it was a residence.

The hotel was built in 1882. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on December 16th, 1974. The hotel can also be seen in No Country For Old Men (2007).
