Menace II Society was released into theaters on May 26th, 1993. Filming locations include Los Angeles and San Fernando, Ca. It was directed by the Hughes Brothers. Other notable movies directed by the Hughes Brothers include Dead Presidents and From Hell. Parts of this movie seemed so over exaggerated at times to the point where I wasn't sure if it was intended to be a drama or a spoof comedy. It features a solid soundtrack. The films first DVD release was on October 21st, 1997.
