Halloween II was released into theaters on August 28th, 2009. Filming locations include Atlanta, Covington, Decatur, Farrar, Madison, Newborn and Oxford, Ga. Filming ran from February 23rd, 2009 to April 9th, 2009. Like the prior Halloween installment, two years earlier, this would also be directed by Rob Zombie. It brings back many of the same actors from the first film, along with a slew of recognizable actors scattered throughout. Zombie's first Halloween was filmed in California, however this one was filmed in Georgia. He stated the reason for this was because the locations he wanted to use were still experiencing snowy weather, plus filming in Georgia provided certain tax breaks. The film features mostly classic rock songs throughout, some of which include Nights in White Satin by The Moody Blues and What's Your Name? by Lynyrd Skynyrd. The films first DVD release was on January 12th, 2010.

WOW. I went to Madison, GA back in February 2017 and the whole time I was there I had no idea! until now that HII was filmed there in two locations that I literally was at, like the, Morgan County Court House, walked right up to it and wouldn't ever thought that they filmed there. Not a big fan of Zombie's Halloween vision, but still, so Amazing. I love your website BTW! Awesome.
ReplyDeleteCovington, GA was also where Friday the 13th Part 6 Jason Lives was filmed. One of the buildings is seen in both films.
ReplyDeletewhy did they not return to south pasadena where they filmed the first one?
