  1. I was just at the cemetery and police station locations earlier today. I couldn't help but walk further into the woods behind the cemetery. The pond right behind it. Isn't that where Krug shoots Mari? It looks very familiar. Took some snapshots and will have to rewatch that part when I return home.

    1. You're correct, that is the same pond. I didn't find that out until after I visited the location (forehead slap).

  2. Any idea where the house was that they filmed at? Apparently Sean Cunningham's parent's lived in that house at the time but cannot find info on where it is.

  3. I found that house. Very easy. Drive past the cemetery, take first street on the right, house is the 2nd on the right. Can't be seen very well from the street, if at all. But it's backside is pretty well exposed from the pond's shore. The other "Mari's house" remains unidentified and was rented.
The location that drives me nuts/couldn't find was the small rock lakeside cliff graffitied "BHS 65". You can clearly see a road in the background. I ran out of time, but I think that is probably in nearby Redding, another shooting location I didn't get a chance to visit. Next trip will focus on that area...with a quick stop at Vinegar Syndrome headquarters, of course.

    1. I'm pretty sure those scenes were shot along the Saugatuck River and the road that you're able to see in the background is either Glen Rd. or Redding Rd.

    2. The small overhanging cliff next to the water that Phyllis and Mari are sitting on drinking the bottle of wine is on the SSaugatuck River near Redding, Connecticut, and the clearly visible road in the background behind the cliff and trees is RRedding Rd.

  4. Is this location part of a private gated house? I really want to see the locations but don't want to attempt trespassing

  6. Where did you park to access the cemetery?

    1. I had to park down the street and walk there, since there's no parking area specifically for the cemetery.
