  5. Hey,
I wanted to let you know this site with all of its wealth on information, to finally make a dream come true for me. This past year I was able to visit Evans City to see all of the sites and was able to visit the Dawn of the Dead sites as well.
Thank you so much for putting all of this together, I will be planning another vacation road trip this year with the help of this work you have done!

    Thanks again,
    Kenny

    1. Awesome Kenny! That's EXACTLY why I always post the addresses of the locations I visit. It drives me nuts when people post movie location pics or videos and keep the location whereabouts to themselves, like they're privileged or something.

  6. The house was set to be demolished at the time George Romero started to shoot the movie. That was why they could trash it during the movie. Removing doors hammering them over the windows that sort of thing. The house was demolished shortly after shooting.

  7. I believe owner of the home said it was his grandmothers, and had planned to demolish it. It didn't even have running water! It must've needed too much work to salvage it. I heard the crew had to fix it up to make it look livable, so it must've been pretty rough when they spotted it. I just wonder where all the great antiques in the house went! If it would've of stood, today it would've been completely restored as a museum. If I was the owner of that property, I would rebuild the house using the movie as a reference and do just that. It would make a fortune!

    1. Completely Agree. I don't think they were thinking that far ahead, or what the movie would become.
