  5. Huge King fan and huge Salem's Lot fan. The 1979 original to me is by far the best film adaptation of a King novel. I was 9 years old when it first aired and it remains the only movie that has ever chilled me to the bone and still to this day gives me the willys a bit. The musical score alone scared me as a child. Brilliant book and brilliant movie. I have been to Ferndale just to see the locations. Everything is pretty easy to spot without asking anyone but I did speak to several people in town who have lived there during and after filming. They ones who lived there said they were thrilled that their town was portrayed as Salem's Lot and it spooked them just a little. I wanted to meet the Owners of the "Marsten" house and hopefully be allowed a quick tour but never did speak with them.

  8. Remember when that movie first came out and after it was in the theater they started showing it on HBO back in the early 80s and that movie Scared The Living Daylights out of me. It's one of the best version of a vampire I've ever seen a made it looks a lot like the original vampire movie Nosferatu. I think Reggie nolder was the actor who played the bald-headed vampire in Salem's Lot he was in the movie The Man Who Knew Too Much from 1956 . But he was creepy as hell in that movie and so was Jeffrey Lewis when he turned into the vampire. That was the first show or movie I've ever seen David Soul in. I was only four years old when that movie actually came out in the theater and when it was on hbo2 I think I was five or six. But I had no idea that kind of David Soul has been in Starsky and Hutch I never seen the show and until a few years later I was just too young to know about all that

  9. The cemetery scenes were filmed at the Ferndale Cemetery. I’ve been to Ferndale several times and whenever I have the time will drive through the cemetery. If you go all the way to the top there’s a fantastic view that overlooks Ferndale and the Pacific Ocean.
