Doc picks Carol up - southwest corner* of Dells Ranch Rd. and Fortress Trail Prescott, Az. 86301At the time of filming, this was Highway 89A. After the new Highway 89A was constructed, just to the north, the old Highway 89A was partially closed off. Over the years, housing subdivisions have been popping up left and right in the area, and more and more portions of old Highway 89A have been done away with and built over. The exact spot of the scene is still accessible (barely), but due to the houses that have been built, the view of the mountains and rock formations aren't visible from the spot. I got as close as I could to the original spot, while still getting the mountains and rock formations into the shot, as I possibly could. My photo was taken where Crown Rock Trail and Dells Clubhouse Dr. meet.
