  4. They were running this picture again today, and I dropped by to see the locations. Does the color picture of the Bates Motel indicate that the structure(s) are still there for tours or something?

    1. Late answer, but just in case anyone else is curious: the Bates house and motel are both still standing and part of the Universal Studios Hollywood Backlot Tour.

  5. No matter how many times I see this film it scares the hell out of me. Been watching it since the early 1960's and still think it is Hitch's best movie. I love all his films though, he was a genius. Janet Leigh was so good too. I love the then and now pictures. Thank you.

  6. I wonder where Marion falls asleep on the side of the highway is located.

  7. Hi Johnny from Jersey here. Where Marion stops her car, falls asleep, and is awakened by the policeman, is given on other sites on " Gorman Post Road, in Gorman, CA." Most of which is now along side the I - 5 freeway. By the map, Gorman appears to be the northernmost toen in Los Angeles county.

  8. The bait house was used in so many other movies and shows besides psycho I mean I can remember seeing it used before the Psycho movie was made in an old western in the late 50s. I seen it on the show emergency in the 70s. That house is Testament to horror fans and genre all over the world

  11. How did you get the shot of the opening? The one where it looks like you’re on top of another building?
