Production laid down false tracks for the scene. In reality, there have never been railroad tracks at this location. The easiest way to get to the spot is to park at the Buford Park parking lot and follow the north trail until just before it reaches the woods. At that point, turn left and venture off the trail until you come to the spot. Screenshot #1 is looking southwest, with Spencer Butte visible in the far distance.
