Silent Night, Deadly Night Part 2 was released into theaters on April 10th, 1987. Filming locations include Sierra Madre, Ca. It was directed by Lee Harry. The lead of Ricky Caldwell was played by Eric Freeman. Freeman played the role way too over-the-top...and it worked perfectly. He made this movie an absolute laugh-riot. Elizabeth Kaitan played Jennifer, Ricky's love interest. The following year she would appear in Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood. The score was composed by Michael Armstrong. The films first DVD release was on October 7th, 2003.

The cemetery was established in 1881. On July 3rd, 1882 Civil War veteran John Richardson was the very first person buried in the cemetery. Of the first seventeen families that lived in Sierra Madre, when it was founded in 1881, twelve of them are buried there. Pioneer Cemetery is Sierra Madre Historic Landmark #45. The cemetery can also be seen in Halloween (1978).
