Cujo was released into theaters on August 12th, 1983. Filming locations include Glen Ellen and Petaluma, Ca. It was directed by Lewis Teague. Other notable genre films directed by Teague include Alligator and Cat's Eye. It's based on Stephen King's 1981 novel of the same name. Five St. Bernards were used in the production. A man in a dog costume and a mechanical head were also used to portray the dogs seen at various points throughout the movie. The score was composed by the masterful Charles Bernstein. The films first DVD release was on July 25th, 2000.

The house has been there since at least the early 50's. Reaching this location requires an extensive drive down a very thin (sometimes single lane) old road.
In the first screenshot, they're driving about a quarter mile northwest of the Adobe Road/Lynch Road intersection, traveling north. In the second screenshot, they're driving north along Adobe Road, just before they reach the Lynch Road intersection. In the third screenshot, they just turned onto Lynch Road.
